Life, the Universe, and Everything Else: Know your reality.

Life, the Universe, and Everything Else: Know your reality.
We are the most fascinating thing in the universe. It is us. The human being is designed perfectly.

This blog is not meant for those with an untrained eye and not for the insincere. It is also not self-righteous. It focuses on the actual practice, pushing aside conspiracies and history information that don't do anything for real progression and only serve as a distraction for those who are seeking real Truth: which is in the practice and can be attained now, we are not here to waste time. We are separating our Self and reality into parts which is like trying to play each instrument in an orchestra which does nothing but cause chaos. Your very mind is the gateway to real progression: as in you are not your thinking mind, which is governing ALL ASPECTS of your life. You must figure out what you truly are, your real nature -- not the illusory nature -- using sincere contemplation and the process of elimination, WHO you are NOT. Surprise, you do not need meditation which is exactly like riding on a donkey. There is no time for meditation. Get on the jet plane and the method is the Mirror, it is time to see the Self as a Whole unit and not divided into individual and separated parts. Use direct experience as a vehicle for your quest to understand and figure out Absolute Reality. The Dangers of Television/Movies/Magazines

This is not your typical conspiracy argument. This blog keeps its attention on the practice which is the only thing that is real in YOUR life. Just do the practice. I would like to post this video up again (other video is on my post, equally important 'The Authentic Life Flow'). Unlike the first video, this video collage visually depicts the lecture. TV / Magazine / Movies is a dangerous tool because nothing on it is actually real. Let me say it again in a specific way: NOTHING ON IT IS ACTUALLY REAL TO YOU! The only thing that is real to YOU is here and right now, it is your skin, it is where you are exactly. Nothing on the television is you. Most of what is on TV/Movies/Magazines is not real. Even the reality shows are not real because although perhaps some may be somewhat very real events, they are still cut and edited with music etc from producers. They are not actual events with real people (authentic souls being authentic) and real time. They are only characters with actors and constructed sets, and calculated edited shots. The same thing goes with music videos. Nothing is really happening, it is all acting and choreographed with a guy yelling 'action' and 'cut'.

However, we grew up with television and have been conditioned since very very young and this actually affects the psyche. How does it affect the psyche? You focus on things that are not real but then have a real reaction to it. It is like a trick. It is like Santa or the Easter Bunny. This eventually spews over into your real life such as images and these scenes you play in your head, in your imagination. It makes you imitate, love, or hate the things and people you see on TV/Movies/Magazines -- although nothing is real.

The unbreakable truth is: What happens, happens and only that is real so keep moving. It even does not make sense to keep looking back or clinging to the past (the past may be important but it is not who you are right now) and it also does not make sense to predict and manipulate the future or how something should happen ("Map out your future, but do it in pencil." - Peter Drucker). The only thing real at every moment is here and now. We even react to thoughts in our minds, we let them affect us emotionally. If some thoughts are emotionally strong, they have the ability to become real. But your thoughts are also not real, they have no conscience (but intuition does). That is the TRUE meaning of surrender. It is truly to let go and accept each circumstance that comes to you while at the same time making the best choices in each and every moment.

We are having reactions to things that are not real. Our reactions are real emotions. Real emotions affect our being. Our emotions are constantly being played and for no real reason at all, hindering intuition. From years of watching TV/Movies/Magazines, they are actually conditioned to be controlled quite easily. This is how dangerous television/movies/magazine can be.

The Practice: For a quick self-experiment: Try to watch TV for 5 minutes and see how easily your real self is hypnotised and reacting with real emotions. We need to learn and re-train to be aware to focus on what's real only. Because the not real is absolutely a waste of time and worry and will catapult into potential disaster, remember every single cause has an effect. This also applies to your thoughts (except for informational purposes such as tasks, organizing, calculations, and so on). To break out of hypnosis, the key is to be alert and aware of what's real at all times.

Heaven in Thought: Prophet Mohammed

"An hour of contemplation [meditation] is better then a year of prayer." - Prophet Mohammed, Hadith: The Words of the Prophet

Heaven in Thought: Prophet Mohammed

"There are many ways to God [Source of Life, All That Is] as there are created souls." - Prophet Mohammed, Hadith: The Words of the Prophet
This is why every soul is responsible towards their own advancement (I suggest The Sleeping Consciousness). Great spiritual teachers such as Jesus, Buddha, Mohammed, Plato, and so on developed their own schools to guide but it is you that has to walk the road yourself. They can only point in the direction. Even though we come from source -- the all is one and the one is all -- each of us is different from the other, no two are the same in terms of situations and circumstances and stages of spiritual development and level of being. Just as a duck is a duck, a tree is a tree, so a human is a human. The only difference is we give each other names.

Heaven in Thought: Gnosticteachings.org

"Imagine that you have just realized that you are in a middle of a big war. You have just grasped that death is at the moment of descending upon you, because there is a battle all around you. This is actually the case. We are ninety-seven percent trapped in the ego. This means we have three percent capacity left to escape -- if we use it. If we do not use it, we are lost. We will be absorbed in that battle, crushed." - Gnosticteachings.org
Understand what the ego is here, Pinpointing the Ego. If war is caused by the minds of men imagine what your ego (mind) does to you. This is why you can begin to understand your own ego through meditating, try Dhyana meditation. The thing with meditation is you should keep going with the focus on the breath. When you have started a session, of course it will be difficult to focus on the breath because the mind goes in all directions. However remember to just simply go back to the breath. It will be a bit of a struggle, don't worry this is normal. But if you stick with it, your mind will eventually slow down further and further. The mind moving in all directions is your ego, which you have no control over...even if you think you do have control, you actually don't.

When your mind has quieted down, you will see how calm, peaceful, and graceful you are. This is part of the real you. Until the ego eventually starts to come back again and disrupts the peace. This is why it is essential that meditation  be consistent! You have to be consistent with your practice otherwise you fall into the trap of the ego again. The ego is very tricky. You can see just how tricky it is by noticing how it behaves whenever you first enter a meditation session. See how easily it tricks you away from the focus on your breath? That is just the beginning of understanding why and how you are not in control. There are many layers of the ego.

Another reason why people learn to embrace meditation is because the ego (voices in your head) becomes quite annoying, you will notice it. See, before even coming close to the idea of meditation, most of us do not even know that the voices in our head is an ego. Most of us don't even know that the voices are not who we really are. Most of us don't even know there are even voices! The longer you go after a meditation session without meditating, the more the mind and thoughts comes back again to control you. You now will surely notice this and it is very annoying. The more consistent you are with meditation sessions, the more in control you are because you will eventually be alert. However if you stay long without meditation, the ego starts to wake up again, the ego once again tricks you into thinking it is you or naturally you. Remember when I pointed out how tricky it can be by simply trying to focus on the breath at the beginning of a meditation session? This is why it helpful to some people to count their breaths (i.e. counting down 8 full breaths and repeat again and again).

Another thing I would like to point out is that not only do we have a problem with our own minds, now see the minds of men and the world. That is why there is so much chaos and destruction, darkness and greed. But adding to this problem, this external battle affects you because it actually keeps your ego alive by mind control.  The quote above says: "We are ninety-seven percent trapped in the ego. This means we have three percent capacity left to escape." In other words, besides the trap, you are also in a cage. Escape by awareness and the tool of awareness is meditation.

Heaven in Thought

"If you are in the cage, you cannot see the cage, so it is necessary to get out temporarily in order to see that cage and understand it. By understanding how the cage is made, we can see its weak points and begin to work on them so we can get out. And in that way you can understand." - GnosticTeachings.org

Temporarily step out of the cage through meditating, try Dhyana meditation. The cage is the ego or dual tension and is also kept alive by mind control.

'Life of Pi' is about a Spiritual Awakening Through Understanding Richard Parker

What is the Tiger?

Spoiler alert: I'm going to very briefly describe the synopsis. Also because the explanation is brief, it is still better that you have seen the film so that you can grasp the post.

Pi's Father says:

"That tiger is not your friend. When you look into his eyes you are seeing your own emotions reflected back at you. Nothing else!"
'Your own emotions reflected back at you' means that our ego-mind, the part we identify ourselves with which is our 'story' is merely just a reflection of our desires, frustrations, and fear because we think we are our 'story'. We have to be careful to not to identify with this. The tiger represents Pi's identification of himself (ego-mind or his 'story' or illusion, these are all same thing!) and this identity is called Richard Parker. We can compare this to us identifying ourselves with our 'story'.

His real identity behind Richard Parker is Pi. Pi is the golden ratio. We are Pi. When the illusion is lifted we will realize that we are all Pi.

Pi begins his spiritual path when he gets thrown off the boat.

Attaining spiritual awakening through the tool of the ego-mind, or understanding the illusion

The process begins when he is a castaway on a lifeboat all alone is just him and Richard Parker (his 'story'). He left his home India, he left a woman he loved, he left the zoo. He suddenly loses the animals he dearly loved and his most precious family in a tragic boat accident. He loses everything he knows about himself, his identity. He loses his story!

Now, the battle as castaways on the unpredictable sea is long and arduous, as everything in Pi's life is being stripped and taken away, everything he knows about himself. This is the spiritual path in order to be awakened to our true identity. We must do the same too, it is a long and arduous process that we all must go through. Like Pi, we must have that courage to continue letting go of our identity or the addiction to our 'story', despite the difficulties.

From thereon we learn of the relationship between Richard Parker and Pi.

One night, he asks Richard Parker what he sees.

"What are you looking at? Talk to me. Tell me what you see."

Pi sees what Richard Parker is holding onto in the reflection of the water. He sees images of the boat accident, the animals, his family. He sympathizes with the tiger (the illusion that wants to hold on to his story) and now understands that the tiger is nothing but the reflection of his emotions (protecting his story).

Afterwards, they find themselves in the middle of another storm. During this most severe circumstance, when he has lost everything that he has identified himself with, everything that he is trying to hold onto continue to be taken away from him. In this scene it is the emergency supplies and his diary. When this is taken away he finally succumbs to spiritual surrender, letting go of everything he knew himself as.

"God....I give myself to you. I am your vessel. Whatever comes, I want to know. Show me."

His path was carefully filled with lessons and tests in order to make sure he learns these in order to be fully spiritualized..
"Even when God seemed to abandon me, he was watching. Even when he seemed indifferent to my suffering, he was watching. And when I was beyond all hope of saving, he gave me rest, then gave me a sign to continue my journey."

When the lifeboat finally reaches shore, they no longer need each other to survive and Richard Parker walks off unceremoniously into the jungle, disappearing forever without even saying goodbye, the illusion disappears. This is because Pi no longer identifies himself as Richard Parker. Richard Parker never existed and was never real. We must all discover that we are NOT our story! Or who we 'think' we are!

Reminiscent of Plato's Allegory of the Cave and The Wizard of Oz, the agents find Pi's story not logical, alluding to the fact that those around us may not understand spiritual experiences when we try to explain them. But for those who have 'eyes to see and ears to hear' .....

It is not my intention to explain all details, I left the vast of the undulating storyline for you to discover because it is a personal experience. Watch the film (again) to understand the relationships of Ego-mind/illusion/'Story' and the Real Self that one must endure on the quest for spiritual enlightenment, as Ang Lee has beautifully done.
