Life, the Universe, and Everything Else: Know your reality.

Life, the Universe, and Everything Else: Know your reality.
We are the most fascinating thing in the universe. It is us. The human being is designed perfectly.

This blog is not meant for those with an untrained eye and not for the insincere. It is also not self-righteous. It focuses on the actual practice, pushing aside conspiracies and history information that don't do anything for real progression and only serve as a distraction for those who are seeking real Truth: which is in the practice and can be attained now, we are not here to waste time. We are separating our Self and reality into parts which is like trying to play each instrument in an orchestra which does nothing but cause chaos. Your very mind is the gateway to real progression: as in you are not your thinking mind, which is governing ALL ASPECTS of your life. You must figure out what you truly are, your real nature -- not the illusory nature -- using sincere contemplation and the process of elimination, WHO you are NOT. Surprise, you do not need meditation which is exactly like riding on a donkey. There is no time for meditation. Get on the jet plane and the method is the Mirror, it is time to see the Self as a Whole unit and not divided into individual and separated parts. Use direct experience as a vehicle for your quest to understand and figure out Absolute Reality. The Sleeping Consciousness

Ignorance is the Result of Unawareness

The belief system constructs we have been conditioned into since birth make up your reality. But this is a false reality because everything in this belief system is based on ignorance. It is ignorance because no one really knows anything in its totality, the first of them being doctors and scientists. Through interdependence, this universal belief construct system then forms an illusory reality that we all live in and believe in because we entrust the status quo. You say to yourself, just because everyone believes in it makes it real. This illusory reality forms the Sleeping Consciousness. Living, working the 9 to 5, eating, the mundane day to day activities  special events on the weekends, gossip, relationships, the latest technology, what's happening on the news ... and so on. But moreso, as taught by the Gnostic Samael Aun Weor, we are literally asleep because if we are awakened, then our consciousness would remember our previous lives. In order to awaken we would have to  "pierce the 'forgetting process' which occurs at birth" (The Law of One by Ra) into this incarnation.  However for this post we will just be focusing on the illusion aspect of the Sleeping Consciousness.

The reason we don't understand or can't figure out our Truth, connecting to who and what we are and what life is, is because of the ignorance that results directly from our unawareness. And most of the time we are unaware that we are ignorant in the first place. We live too much in our heads that we forget about what is actually real: the here and now. We are so involved with all the voices in our minds, attaching to this thought, attaching to that thought, believing this, believing that. The more you get wrapped up in these voices and thoughts, the more unaware you become. The Buddhist practices nonattachment to things, including the thoughts that whiz around in our minds. Out of countless thoughts that whiz around you seem to attach to one of those thoughts. Why is that?

The more quiet your mind becomes, the more awareness you have about reality or the Truth. Falsely living too much in our mind makes things very illusory. We can't live too much in the mind. That is extreme because the mind is responsible for analyzing and processing information that the 5 senses sends to the brain. However when you are to look at something with the naked eye, you will not see molecules because eyesight is limited and therefore your brain takes the image information for granted. We entrust too much to the brain just like we do with the status quo. With the uncontrollable thinking and thinking, the mind is preoccupied and distracted with the ether at all times and all that chatter builds up like a pressure cooker. In order to release the pressure you would have to meditate because meditation is needed to quiet the mind and reground yourself. Get back to what's real, back in your physical body and in the here and now. Meditate to quiet the mind and gravitate your being downwards towards the correct center of the human where the heart and solar plexus chakra are (search this blog to read more on the solar plexus). The center is not your head.

Another important problem to point out with people's false assumptions is the fact that people assume that Truth or Reality comes in a book, like a how-to or math book. It takes heaps of patience and a wealth of direct experience to learn and know what you are and this can only happen individually because every one of us has different challenges from the other. It takes constant progressive work on ourselves in order to illuminate our awareness because it takes effort to learn with certainty and to evolve to a higher level of being. The greatest individuals that have walked this Earth are guiding us because we are the lost souls. They guide us to realness but they can only point us in the right direction but you would have to walk it yourself. So in order to learn and know for yourself, it will have to take direct experience, it can not be read in the words of others because again you can't understand such words in its totality unless you have experienced it first. The process is to deconstruct this false ignorant reality and build one based on awareness to evolve. This is why it is tragic for people to remain in a stagnant routine -- they are the sleeping ones. They are disconnected from reality. But you are not alone in the search for yourself. Nature speaks to you all the time through the language of direct experience and intuition, but you are unaware that it can even speak. This is the problem with living in cities because it makes you forget about your nature by disconnecting you from the natural world, creating a world of delusion.

There is something peculiar about our circumstance. Here we are, mortal beings on a planet that goes around a sun along with other planets in the middle of a large galaxy with billions of other solar systems in a universe filled with billions of galaxies. Things are made up of largely empty space down to the subatomic particles. Yet we don't pay attention to any of that! We can't even grasp any of it or find poetic meaning behind existence. We forget about these in our daily lives. Our little nuances, our tiny troubles. That's how peculiar we are.

This is why it is important to meditate for the purpose of meditation is to figure out reality. With meditation all concentration is focused on one point with minimal distraction so that you can become aware of what is real. Problems will be solved by simply being aware of the root. You will be aware of every moment, you will see the mysterious synchronicites, you will know that you are not alone, and you will progress your level of being. It is all here right now. Please search this blog to learn how to meditate, there are videos as well as a book posted on here that will teach you.

Heaven in Writing

This is an advanced short book written by Venerable Pa-Auk Sayadaw, Mindfullness of Breathing & Four Elements Meditation. It contains detailed instructions on how to meditate. This is a very serious book for the learning adept. It explains how to hold the 'Nimitta', a phenomenon that appears through a deeper level during concentration practice. He further details how to take that into 'Jhana', a state where the mind is free of any obstacles and distractions and fully absorbed in the 'Nimitta'. The book also discusses the Four Elements Meditation. I will be discussing the Four Elements in a separate post which will be critical to understanding the importance of this kind of meditation.

Phenomena Experienced in Altered State Hallucinogens Are a Real Part of Our Universe & Consciousness?

An intriguing lecture by Graham Hancock suggesting that ancient art such as cave drawings and sculptures from all around the world depict a phenomena that is part of the universe that ancient shamans can see and the artists of such drawings were shamans. The creatures and geometric patterns in these art are similar to the sentient beings and patterns experienced by people who have taken DMT, peyote, ayahuasca, mushrooms, and other altered state hallucinogens. All of these are suggesting that the phenomena being experienced in these trips are part of the Universe's reality, that this world or dimension or phenomena is real. Mr. Hancock also explains why it may be real.

Language and Consciousness

I love these Thinking Allowed interviews. Jeffrey Mishlove has another great person's brain to pick. What Stephen Pinker explains here on the subject of Language and Consciousness is agreeing with what Eckhart Tolle says when responding to a question asking about the Ego in my post titled Did the Universe Make a Mistake With the Ego? (fast forward to 3:09). Both answers connect the teachings of ancient schools / esoteric thought and their knowledge regarding language being developed at a later stage in human evolution. Very interesting as well as illuminating. You can forward to 0:33 - 3:53.

Heaven in Thought

On reincarnation:
"Reincarnation plays a part in the secret teachings of all religions. including in religions like that of the Romans and Christianity in which public teachings repudiate it."

- Jonathan Black aka Mark Booth

Heaven in Thought

"Death happens on the outside, never on the inside; the inside is eternal."
- Osho

So then how can God/Source/Existence/All That Is be outside of you? The Divine is within YOU. I will soon post the key that bridges this -- the key that is reincarnation.

Recognizing the Seat of the Soul

In this interview with Jeffrey Mishlove, Gary Zukav blew my mind. Not only is this somewhat a synchronicity to today's post, "A New Age of Consciousness" which discusses the awareness that we are spiritual beings, Dr. Zukav further discusses the need to look beyond our 5 senses because the 5 senses act like one sensory system whose object is physical reality. We need to evolve into multi-sensory humans, to go beyond the limited fabric of physical reality into non-physical to understand the larger fabric of life, which is the evolution of the immortal soul with the participation of non-physical beings, guides, and teachers. He also talks about  intuition and communicating with non-physical beings. The entire interview is wonderfully explained and quite pleasant to watch. Wow. Enjoy.

The Scarab or Dung Beetle in Ancient Egypt

A 'heart scarab' amuletScarab

Scarab Beetle

(kheper)

Appearance: The particular species of beetle represented in the numerous ancient Egyptian amulets and works of art was commonly the large sacred scarab (Scarabaeus sacer). This beetle was famous for his habit of rolling balls of dung along the ground and depositing them in its burrows. The female would lay her eggs in the ball of dung. When they hatched, the larvae would use the ball for food. When the dung was consumed the young beetles would emerge from the hole.
Millions of amulets and stamp seals of stone or faience were fashioned in Egypt depicted the scarab beetle.
Meaning: It seemed to the ancient Egyptians that the young scarab beetles emerged spontaneously from the burrow were they were born. Therefore they were worshipped as "Khepera", which means "he was came forth." This creative aspect of the scarab was associated with the creator god Atum.
The ray-like antenna on the beetle's head and its practice of dung-rolling caused the beetle to also carry solar symbolism. The scarab-beetle god Khepera was believed to push the setting sun along the skyin the same manner as the bettle with his ball of dung. In many artifacts, the scarab is depicted pushing the sun along its course in the sky.
During and following the New Kingdom, scarab amulets were often placed over the heart of the mummified deceased. These "heart scarabs" (such as the one pictured above) were meant to be weighed against the feather of truth during the final judgement. The amulets were often inscribed with a spell from the Book of the Dead which entreated the heart to, "do not stand as a witness against me."
