This is not your typical conspiracy argument. This blog keeps its attention on the practice which is the only thing that is real in YOUR life. Just do the practice. I would like to post this video up again (other video is on my post, equally important 'The Authentic Life Flow'). Unlike the first video, this video collage visually depicts the lecture. TV / Magazine / Movies is a dangerous tool because nothing on it is actually real. Let me say it again in a specific way: NOTHING ON IT IS ACTUALLY REAL TO YOU! The only thing that is real to YOU is here and right now, it is your skin, it is where you are exactly. Nothing on the television is you. Most of what is on TV/Movies/Magazines is not real. Even the reality shows are not real because although perhaps some may be somewhat very real events, they are still cut and edited with music etc from producers. They are not actual events with real people (authentic souls being authentic) and real time. They are only characters with actors and constructed sets, and calculated edited shots. The same thing goes with music videos. Nothing is really happening, it is all acting and choreographed with a guy yelling 'action' and 'cut'.
However, we grew up with television and have been conditioned since very very young and this actually affects the psyche. How does it affect the psyche? You focus on things that are not real but then have a real reaction to it. It is like a trick. It is like Santa or the Easter Bunny. This eventually spews over into your real life such as images and these scenes you play in your head, in your imagination. It makes you imitate, love, or hate the things and people you see on TV/Movies/Magazines -- although nothing is real.
The unbreakable truth is: What happens, happens and only that is real so keep moving. It even does not make sense to keep looking back or clinging to the past (the past may be important but it is not who you are right now) and it also does not make sense to predict and manipulate the future or how something should happen ("Map out your future, but do it in pencil." - Peter Drucker). The only thing real at every moment is here and now. We even react to thoughts in our minds, we let them affect us emotionally. If some thoughts are emotionally strong, they have the ability to become real. But your thoughts are also not real, they have no conscience (but intuition does). That is the TRUE meaning of surrender. It is truly to let go and accept each circumstance that comes to you while at the same time making the best choices in each and every moment.

We are having reactions to things that are not real. Our reactions are real emotions. Real emotions affect our being. Our emotions are constantly being played and for no real reason at all, hindering intuition. From years of watching TV/Movies/Magazines, they are actually conditioned to be controlled quite easily. This is how dangerous television/movies/magazine can be.
The Practice: For a quick self-experiment: Try to watch TV for 5 minutes and see how easily your real self is hypnotised and reacting with real emotions. We need to learn and re-train to be aware to focus on what's real only. Because the not real is absolutely a waste of time and worry and will catapult into potential disaster, remember every single cause has an effect. This also applies to your thoughts (except for informational purposes such as tasks, organizing, calculations, and so on). To break out of hypnosis, the key is to be alert and aware of what's real at all times.
